Executive Summary
As Executive Director of Core Financials Design at Morgan Stanley, I led UX strategy across AI-driven Wealth Management experiences within E*TRADE, focusing on account dashboards, holdings, portfolio analytics, and data-intensive client experiences.
My role combined enterprise strategy, team leadership, hands-on design direction, and executive alignment to transform complex financial ecosystems into intuitive, scalable, and measurable digital platforms.
This work positioned UX as a strategic driver of product innovation across a multi-product financial ecosystem.
Strategic Mandate
The Wealth Management UX team is responsible for digital experiences that help clients manage finances and monitor investments across Morgan Stanley and E*TRADE platforms
Within this ecosystem, my responsibility was to:
• Lead UX strategy for data-heavy financial dashboards and portfolio tools
• Ensure seamless integration across the broader Wealth Management product suite
• Align user needs with regulatory requirements and business KPIs
• Build team capability and design maturity at scale
• Elevate UX from tactical execution to strategic partnership
My Scope and Leadership
• Directed a high-performing UX design team focused on account data experiences
• Defined enterprise UX strategy across multiple product surfaces
• Led discovery workshops to clarify problems, assumptions, and success metrics
• Established research strategy in partnership with UX Research
• Built career growth pathways and provided structured feedback to designers
• Removed blockers and created a collaborative, high-trust team culture
• Contributed hands-on design direction when needed
• Presented executive-level narratives to senior product and technology leaders
This role required balancing client experience, platform consistency, regulatory constraints, and performance expectations within a complex, large-scale organization.
